What is IOP for Addiction?
IOP stands for intensive outpatient program. It’s a type of treatment that — while intensive — allows you to carry on with much of your normal life and routine. Intensive outpatient programs are appropriate for treating drug and alcohol addiction along with any co-occurring disorders that may be keeping you from living your best life.
What Happens in an Intensive Outpatient Program for Addiction?
In intensive outpatient programs (IOP), you attend intensive outpatient treatment sessions several times a week and live at home. We’ll help you understand relapse triggers, build coping mechanisms, explore the 12 Steps if appropriate, and more. To make outpatient addiction treatment more accessible and convenient for you, we have two IOP locations to choose from: Covington and Metairie, Louisiana.
