Aaron Domingue, RAC
Longbranch Recovery Center
Aaron Domingue, RAC has been working in social services since 2009, and specifically in substance abuse treatment since 2010. He is a devoted and passionate Addictions Counselor, who has worked in many different levels of care including detox, primary residential, intensive outpatient, as well as a substantial amount of time as lead counselor in a dual diagnosis long term program. Prior to working in the addictions field, he was a victims advocate and program coordinator for victims of violent crime in the north Baton Rouge area. In this role, he coordinated volunteers and services provided directly to victims and their families.
Throughout his many years of counseling experience, he has been honored to be able to witness and play a small role in the remarkable transformations of not only addicts and alcoholics but also their families. His approach as a counselor in a residential treatment setting is to model an assertive and empathetic connection and communication with everyone in the community, while maintaining the imperative balance of challenging and supporting his patients. While the absolutely beautiful campus, incredible organization leadership and perfect facility location were all major draws to Longbranch for Aaron, he says that joining a clinical team who is insistent on providing consistent trauma informed care has been the highlight thus far.
